Why is the irs taking so long with refunds?

Ok so my was accepted the 18th or the 19th. Ok? And my return has been processing since then. I go to wmr and the tell me it being processed and I should receive it by 2/7. I refund cycle chart says 2/1. And I just spoke to a lady at the irs and she told me the 3 week bullcrap. And that my anticipated date is 2/14. But that’s over 3weeks. So WTF!!!??? Getting frusstrated now.

    I heard that the Irs computed system crashed but this seems to happen every single year

    the irs is full of shit!! they will run u down about their money and take so long to give us our money!! but i was accepted the 19th and they said i would have mine the 6th of feb

      I filed the 6th….everything is messed up on their website…finally talked to IRS…they told me by the 17th…now the IRS.GOV says by the 28th..>WTF.

      For all the stuff we have to shell out and they can’t get us out money back on time. If the story was turned around…we would be in some serious trouble.

    I had ours done e-filled 2/2/12 and the women that done ours said that the money would be in 2/15/12. Well thats today and it’s not in. I called the IRS and they told me that mine started the process 2/4/12 and when it’s done processing it would be 10-21 days for it to come in. They also said that this year people was randonly selected to be viewed to make sure the systems was correct. Lucky us we are one of those people. I thank they are make up BS to make it seem like it’s not there fault.

      I filed on the 28 and still no return,, I dont think that the irs has any money to give us.. we should all flood the federal government , this posting does nothing, we need to get action. so if there is a way we could all tell everyone to call the federal government maybe we could get our money and some answers. this is just not right,

    I did means on 1/25/12 and it was accepted by the irs on the same day, a checked the website 3 days later it said 2/7, came and gone ntn, so when I check the website now it says, If you have filed a complete and accruate return you will recieve your refund within six weeks from the recieved date, I cant seem to get any infomation from irs

    I filed on the 2 nd and was worried until I read this I’m not the only one I know there should be no reason for me to panic but I have bills I’m far to behind on an busted my ass all year all I want is what they owe me this is getting ridiculous an no one seems to have an answer why it’s taking so long not even the IRS themselves ugh I’m literally on the verge of losing everything because I was relyin on my money for taxes to cover me and this is scary I have 2 kids and one on the way I just hope they give it to me soon I don’t know what I’m going to do

    I filed ours on 2/2/2012 and when I go to IRS wheres my refund it says that there is no information available. Im getting really frustrated. Its almost been a month with no money.

    I filed 2-4-12 and the office told me in two weeks you should except your refund.Wtf!Still waiting,that website ‘wheres my refund is full of crap.If your says,your return is has been recieved,and is being procesed,then join the gang,theres alot of people in that Same sittuation.It aint gonna happen anytime soon.Today is March the first,and nada..

    My return was accepted on the 17th of Feb, both H&R and the IRS confirmed I would recieve it on the 6th of March. It is now the 7th and no sign of my return and I can get no information whatsoever about its status.

    Me and my husband filed ours on JANUARY 24th! And it’s March 9th and we have yet to receive shit. It pisses me off so bad. We should be able to charge them with late fees and interest and all the other crap that they would pile on us if they wanted money from us. On the WMR site, all it says is “Your refund has been received and is processing.” And it’s been that way for two weeks now. Getting really fed up with this. We really need our money.

    My boyfriend and myself did our taxes at home with H and R block we sent them out the same day, Friday February 3rd it took forever for the system to see ours. We originally had a date that said no later than April 3. He got his last Wednesday March 7th. My date changed to April 10, then went to Can not locate in system and now a general Your tax return has been received and is being processed no date no amount of weeks listed nothing….when do I assume there is a problem with my taxes?

    irs.gov is worthless as usual – received and being processed – no date(s), nothing. Those running the irs should be fired. I’d bet their system has been hacked and our information has been comprimised. They’ll never say it though. Another wasteful program that should be privatized.

    i sent my taxes at end of january. the irs.gov website said i wld get by 13 mar. then it said 20 march. now it says 1 may. wtf

      My husband and I filed ours Feb. 17th the WMR stated will get refund by Mar 13th of course have come and gone. So I checked the WMR again to make sure of the date. Now it says “we have received ur returned and it’s being processed.” WTH!! So I called IRS and after waiting 45 minutes for some damn lady to tell me “Well u should get it by April.” WHAT!! That is way over the 10 – 21 days mark. U know the IRS get on my last nerve. When u owe them they will get it by any means necessary but when they owe u they are going to take there sweet time. I’m so pissed right now.

    Mine was e-filed and accepted on 2/6, it is now 3/21 and nothing. The check my status page says up to 6 weeks. This return is pretty much holding up all my major life decisions.

    I e filed through a tax advisor on 2-8 anf it is March 21, received a letter it is being reviewing ??? online reads being processed. Had three advisors look it over they say no problem. I quess the irs is finding errors why would they hold my refund back and it is not large.

    I filed in Jan and my tax place said IRS sent a notice saying that I have all ready filed this year. WTH?! No way that happened. I call IRS and they say things can only be fixed by paper filing. I paper filed in Feb and IRS has accepted it. I figured there was going to be a processing delay because of this all ready filing BS. I have not received any piece of mail saying my taxes are under review. I called them at the end of March to see what is going on. They of course could not tell me anything except that it was going to take up to 60 days after March 27 to finish processing. At this point, I am thinking I will be filing taxes next Jan still waiting for the refund from this year. Oh and not being able to use my tax place because IRS would not have cleared up this years goof. This is ridiculous as far as I am concerned.
