Processing Delays DD date changed to 2/21?

We have received your tax return and it is being processed. Your expected refund date has been changed due to processing delays. You should receive your refund by February 21, 2012. Please wait until that date to contact us again because we cannot take any action until then. Thank you for your patience.

What does this mean IRS agent told me there is nothing wrong with return just fell into old system and refund is now being resequenced into new system

    Don’t hold your breath, but you will more than likely see your refund by the 7th, IRS tells you 21st just in case it doesn’t make it by then and that way it keeps people from calling! Good Luck!

    It simply means you have to wait till 2/21/12 for your refund. If you want to avoid this, talk to someone with some tax planning experience and avoid having a refund every year. This means you will have extra money in your paycheck throughout the year.

      I was told by the irs that my refund will be avil. to me on 2/21….it is now March 2nd and no refund! I have called the irs and have recieved several different reasons ranging from my refund is in review and it will take 60 days, I have been told 45 days, and I have even been told this past week that my refund will be posting and of course it did not. The one consistant answer that i do get is that my refund is in review….WTH….It has bee accepted by the irs, and i have not recieved any letters from them. I just want a straight answer please!!!!

    My is saying 28th. They received it on the 5th , and accepted it on the 6th. Everyone I know round these dates have received their refund. My daughters went from the 28th to 17th, which is tomorrow. I’ll let you all know if she get it.

      Mine originally said the 28th after filing but then they moved it up to the 21st. Did your daughter get hers on the 17th? I’m wondering if they are just putting random dates up there or what…!!?

    wish i could offer a hint of hope but unfortanetly the delays are worst than people think, the irs excepted mine on febuary 3rd and when i check the wmr it said i should expect it by march 3rd so yea big delay for me!

    i filed since 2-2-12 and now the wmr site is finally giving me a date of March 6
