How to delete files from Codec C trojan?

Asked by: 11 views Computer Security

So I was an idiot and downloaded the Codec C trojan. I know where the files are located but I cannot delete them. I have Avast and Malwarebytes but both have been unhelpful. I used to use Killbox on my old computer and it would allow me to delete any file but now it appears that Killbox does not exist any longer. Is there a similar program out there that can delete the files for me?

Run rkill, then scan with MBAM. No need to install rkill, just download to the desktop, and double click the icon. Read the description. Delete rkill when done, you can’t update it:

Then update, and run full scans again.
