Asked by: 89 views Computer Security

How do I know if I have a computer virus?
My ram consumption is much larger than normal, I’m getting white screens when booting Google chrome, and I have so many processes running.. what kind of processes should I check for? and what are general virus signs? Also if I am looking for a duplicate processes how many k would they be using? What would be different or significant about the process name? Does the user effect the authentication of the process? And once I figure which process is which.. than what? also I have like 12 svchost.exe’s running

Why don’t you scan your computer with a decent AV and antimalware? Use these two:

svchost.exe is system related programs.. upgrade the RAM. Then use different anti-virus software(trial versions) to check whether your computer have virus or not.. But install all at a time. install one at a time ant then start the scan. after finishing uninstall it and install another software. Do until you get 0 detection.

    Yes,

I am sorry to say it but you may have a Malware. A particularly dangerous type of virus that leaks into files like a spreading disease. NOTE: Malware can’t be easy to deal with sometimes. BUT if you stop it in its tracks e.g using a program called “Malwarebytes” or “Superantispyware” you should be fine.

    Check each process.
For the unknown process, please Google it.
You will find out the problem.
